Revelation TV

On the 2nd April I travelled down to New Malden to spend a day at the Revelation TV studio. I had been invited to be on the Children’s Book Review Show and I was interviewed about my work in animation and I also filmed a short animation workshop. It was a really great day and I thought the children who are on the show were fantastic.

Even though I have been in TV studios before this was the first time I was actually filmed, I’m normally behind the camera. It was a bit weird but a great experience.

The show should be broadcast sometime in May but I will let you know as soon as I hear.

The Parables 2 Wins Award!

On the 19th May 2011, at a prestigious event at St Mary’s Church in London, our DVD ‘The Parables 2′ walked away with the Christian Broadcast Council Silver Award for ‘Best Children’s Programme’. No one was awarded the Gold Award this year but Relive Resources won the Highly Commended prize.

It was an amazing evening with over 150 people in attendance from a wide range of media professions. Hosted by comedian Tim Vine it was a night of fun and great food with a chance to celebrate all the wonderful Christian media being produced around the country. From TV programmes to podcasts the range of media being rewarded was very impressive.

This is the second year in a row Taylormation has won an award in this category after the first Parables DVD won the gold award last year. A big thank you to CBC for your support and to all those who worked so hard on the DVD’s.

Kidology!

Kidology is a US based, non-profit organisation that exists to equip and encourage those who minister to children by offering help, ideas, training, and resources that enable them to most effectively reach and teach kids.

We are delighted to inform you that you can now buy our Parables animations as downloads from the Kidology website, kidology.org. We are really excited by this new outlet as it will be the first time the Parables films have been promoted in the US.

The films are also be available as downloads on TwelveBaskets.co.uk for UK customers.

We have just completed 5 short animations for the WordLive website based on passages from Romans. The films are a graphical representation of the Bible verses are have been designed to try and encourage people to delve a bit deeper into God’s word.

The films will be shown over 5 days in May 2011 on the WordLive website so please check them out and let us know what you think.

Mission Rescue: Holiday Club

In 2010 we produced some animations for LBC Productions for the 2011 Scripture Union holiday club DVD.

We are delighted to let you know that the DVD and associated resources, titled ‘Mission:Rescue’ is now available from the Scripture Union website. Set over 5 episodes and with a secret agent style the DVD looks at how God rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, and how God continues to rescue people today through Jesus.

Enter the Pitch

On January 15th I attended the final of the national film competition Enter the Pitch 2011 at Pinewood Studio. Throughout the day I got the chance to chat with the other 9 finalists and the judges, go on a tour of the studios and drink lots of coffee. At about 3pm I pitched my film idea, ‘Bean Wrestle Mania’, to the panel of judges which included Nick Park (creator of Wallace and Gromit). Unfortunately I didn’t win this year but my short film idea did receive some very positive comments.

Thank you so much to all those who voted for me during the public vote, I genuinely appreciate it. Now to plan next years pitch!

The Parables go to Australia

We are pleased to announce that the Australian Christian retailer Koorong Books are now stocking The Parables DVD’s on their website and across their 18 stores.

This is the first time our DVD’s have left the shores of the UK and we are obviously delighted that Koorong have decided to stock them.

On Thursday 25th February we had the privilege of attending the CBC (Christian Broadcast Council) Media Awards night. Hosted by Baroness Cox and attended by many Christian media professionals it was a fantastic evening showing off the best Christian media from 2009/10.

Our DVD The Parables was entered into the ‘Best Christian Children’s Programme’ category and we are pleased to announce that we won the Gold Award!

A really big thank you to all those who have supported us over the last two years, it has been a pleasure working with you. Also a big thank you to all our customers. Your purchases and feedback has been vital to the successful development of The Parables.
